Known by many names; tapa (Cook Islands), ngatu (Tonga), masi (Fiji), siapo (Samoa) and hiapo (Niue), is an artform that is shared across the Pacific. The cloth itself, made from natural fibres, is vulnerable to wear and tear, and the impacts of time.
